Two companies
Costa Rica Lodge Week
One base for the week and a lodge that runs its own walks, boats and drivers. That keeps the trip at two companies where most Costa Rica itineraries reach four, and the difference shows on the day something changes.
| The company | What it owes you | Its own rule if you cancel | What happens if it fails |
|---|---|---|---|
| The airline | Seats and bags, one connection from Charleston. Internal flights are not in this trip, which is part of why the count stays low | Fare rules, quoted in full | Rebooking under their conditions, and it does not release the lodge |
| The lodge | Seven nights, breakfast daily, the road transfer from the airport in its own vehicles, and its own guided walks and boat trips booked at the desk rather than through a separate operator | A stepped schedule that is usually generous until about a month out. One contract to cancel rather than four | The lodge carries the guides and the drivers as its own staff, so a guide falling ill is their problem and not a gap in your week |
Why one base rather than three
Distances that read as nothing on a map turn into three hours behind a wheel for sixty miles. Three bases in seven nights means half the holiday is a view of the back of a seat, and it means three more contracts.
If you want two bases, we will quote it, and the trip moves up a tier because it must.

Split across two companies. What each of them charges, and what none of them charges, is on prices. The figure is confirmed in writing before anything is placed.
What we will not promise
That any specific creature will appear. A promise of a sloth on the second morning is a promise about weather. What is true, and what goes in writing, is that the guiding here is exceptional and the chances are strong.
